Argan Oil

Organic Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil
The argan tree grows wild in the arid Souss valley south east of Agadir and north east of Essouira in Morocco. It is considered one of the rarest oils in the world due to the relatively small growing areas and the labor-intensive nature of production. The olive-sized fruit takes over a year to mature. Its fleshy pulp is covered by a thick peel and surrounds a hard-shelled nut which contains 1-3 oil-rich kernels. The fruit is sustainably harvested and cracking the hard nut is done by hand which contributes to making oil production a very time-consuming process. It is oftentimes referred to as "liquid gold" and boasts a wide array of attributes highly beneficial to skin health. Ultra rich in vitamin E and other antioxidants, argan oil helps counteract free-radicals which can damage skin. Additionally, it contains phenols, carotenes, squalene and fatty acids making it a truly luxurious oil and very popular skin care ingredient.
