Moringa Oleifera (Moringa) OilDocumented as having been utilized in skin preparations since ancient Egyptian times, moringa oil is one of the most nutrient dense oils on the planet. Native to the southern foothills of the Himalayas in northwestern India, and widely cultivated in tropical and sub-tropical regions all over the world. The moringa oleifera can grow up to four meters and bear fruit in it's first year. This pest-resistant, drought-tolerant perennial thrives in sandy soil with only rainwater, and therefore requires no irrigation. Also known as 'drumstick tree' from the long, slender seed pods, 'horseradish tree' from the taste of the roots which resembles horseradish, and 'miracle tree' because of its wide array of uses. The triangular seeds harvested from the dried pods, yield 38-40% oil. Otherwise known as ben oil from the high concentration of behenic acid it contains. Moringa or ben oil, is rich in vitamins A, C and other powerful antioxidants that give the oil its remarkable stability.
