Shorea Robusta (Sal) Seed Butter 
Sal, (also known as Sakhu, Agrakh, Kungiliyam, Borsal, Hal, Sagua Sakhwa, or Shal) is obtained from the seeds of a tree native to the Indian subcontinent and has been used for centuries in cooking, and for its skin moisturizing and healing properties. Although it is moderate to slow-growing, it is very hearty and often the most dominant tree in the forests where it occurs. In wetter areas it is evergreen and in drier areas it is deciduous. The tree bears fruit every two years or so, and a good seed bearing year can only be expected every 3-5 years, with only fifteen percent of the seed containing the actual oil. Sal butter's high levels of uniform triglycerides provide high oxidative stability and high levels of stearic and oleic fatty acids beautifully aid in protecting and conditioning skin.
